The Young Royals Rule the California Grunge Scene

From Venice, California, I bring you The Young Royals, the next best thing in the grunge rock scene. They have a sound like 1990 Seattle and imaginative, well written songs. The band consists of Eric Bradley on guitar and lead vocals, Jason Saracco on guitar and back up vocals, Eric Leiderman on drums, and Shane Soloski on bass and also with vocals. They currently have two sets of music out. The first is their first album Day of Truths, released in 2007, and the second is Prelude to a Good Heavy. These guys consistently rock the house and are a sweet band. There is hope for rock and roll, and it's called The Young Royals.
"Falling Off The Bone" is an excellent song that reminds me of something out of the Alice in Chains repertoire. The lyrics are great and match the melody of the guitar, which has heavy riffs and a pretty sweet lead part. The solo is a real face melter, and the effects used on the guitar are perfect. If you give "Spilled Milk" a listen, you'll realize that The Young Royals really do have this grunge rock thing down. "Spilled Milk" sounds similar to something that the Foo Fighters would play, but has its own signature tone about it that just screams THE YOUNG ROYALS!
Other songs you will most certainly want to hear are And It Rains, Sugar Blues, Cut You Down To Size, Shallow, and Cut You Down, which isn't as heavy as the other songs, but has a more melodic, softer sound to it that really stands out. Check out The Young Royals website and don't be disappointed:
